Iraqi politicians = whiners.
State-owned oil is a curse, not a blessing. If farmers and ranchers in Pennsylvania, Texas, Oklahoma and elsewhere did not have rights ad coelum to the minerals so they could become oilmen, the US would likely be just as screwed up as other places where politicians control this wealth and access to it. Good for politicians and Swiss private bankers but not the countries that are and remain screwed up.
